Free sample below ~ print it and try it. The full kit adds every other page.
Print the whole kit and put it in one folder ~ that folder is now the answer to "where is that paper". Fill the master sheet once, in pencil, over a single afternoon. After that, the calendar page catches renewals before they surprise you, and the decoder cards are for the days an envelope arrives that makes your stomach drop.
This is the free sample ~ the full kit adds every page below it.
Where everything lives
One page. Fill it in pencil, because life edits itself. This is the sheet you hand a trusted person if you are ever in a hospital bed and someone has to find something. Keep it somewhere safe and tell exactly one person where that is.
Questions
Does this tell me what to do about my money or the law?
No. It is an organizing kit ~ where things live, what renews when, and plain-English translations of scary envelopes. It never tells you what to invest in or what a law means. Where a situation needs an accountant, a lawyer, or a financial professional, the kit says so and points you at the phone.
How long does the master sheet take to fill in?
One afternoon, in pencil, with your laptop open. Most people get about eighty percent of it in the first sitting and finish the rest as things come up. Eighty percent filled in is already far better than the drawer.
What if my situation does not match the shred-or-keep list?
Those are general rules of thumb, and retention periods differ by country and by situation. When a document does not fit the list, keep it and ask the professional who handles that area. Nobody ever regretted keeping one extra folder.
Can I use just one page of this?
Yes, and most people do. The master sheet alone is worth the print. Every page stands on its own and prints clean on Letter and A4.
